On December 28, 2003, Pollution Risk Services proudly introduced a revolutionary cost-capping and risk-eliminating insurance service that will make us a leader in environmental remediation. That service is the Reinsurance & Risk Assumption Program.

As with any remediation project, Pollution Risk Services uses one of its comprehensive liability transfer agreements (CLTA) to fully assume the responsible party's risk. Once the risk has been assumed utilizing the CLTA, Pollution Risk Services goes one step further than its competitors. Rather than using project contract dollars to obtain costly reinsurance from a reinsurance carrier, Pollution Risk Services fully collateralizes any and all contract cost overruns -- up to the comfort/desired level of the client -- by utilizing company assets and insurance premiums specifically designated for use as reinsurance through the Pollution Risk Services reinsurance trust.

The primary benefits to the client include:

1. Costly reinsurance is no longer purchased using project contract dollars in order to satisfy the clients desired level of protection/comfort.

2. Pollution Risk Services is solely responsible for any contract cost overruns. Pollution Risk Services is rewarded for bringing projects in at/under budget and punished financially for coming in over budget.
