Project Manager
Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage on- and offsite project activities to ensure timely, cost-effective project completion. Act as technical consultant to ensure that proposed and current projects meet regulatory standards and are approved.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Ensure proposed and progressing projects meet regulatory standards and may thereby be approved.
  • Determine the necessary permits needed to complete the proposed project.
  • Obtain necessary permits in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare and review relevant documents for submittal.
2. Initiate and maintain liaison with prime consultants, contractors, and A/E contacts, to facilitate project activities.
  • Effectively interact with prime client, public groups, and regulatory agencies.
3. Monitor and control project sites through administrative direction of consultants and subcontractors to ensure project is progressing on schedule and within budget.
  • Furnish project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Manage site construction and facility operations.
  • Design and analyze features of remediation project.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement cost-effective, corrective measures.
4. Represent Pollution Risk Services in proposal and project strategy meetings, etc.
  • Prepare and present marketing proposals.
  • Provide technical/engineering advice as necessary.
5. Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
  • Review relevant data to minimize costs and maximize project efficiency.
6. Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Educational and experience requirements include:

  • 4 year Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably with a strong environmental/geological background.
  • 5-10 years engineering experience a must, including site surveying.
  • PE registration in state of Ohio, with ability to obtain registration in other states as needed.
  • Knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of Autocad, Terramodel, Microsoft Excel, Word, WinStabl, HELP Model, and Project.
  • Must be able to apply innovative and effective project management techniques to maximize project performance.
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of corporate, governmental, and industry practices, processes, standards, regulations, etc. and their impact on project activities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.), and organizational skills essential.
  • Must be a business oriented person.
